A Feast Hosted By Rosemaries

In this scene, all the garden plants have gathered for a Mihmani, a formal feast to discuss a shared vision in which all history was revealed to them. While the guests are arriving and mingling, two plants share their love for one another like this:

"Yar*," called NoGooder, the tailed agave. Rooting slightly behind its beloved, GoodSmell, the agave's large rosette of broad, blue-green leaves was beaming. "Thank bright that on adventure or in Mihmani, we're always in one another's company."

Goodsmell's stem filled with joy. "My allgooder, gooder than good, no other good as good as you gooder," it began the response. "Calling me by the brightest word, Yar, my forever companion and bright do-gooder." Trickled, the clusters of florets on GoodSmell's triangular leaves slowly opened their petals then promptly fell back into cute-sleep. "Bright every moment I get to root with you my good-gooder." With that, two new roots between them began forming new knots.

*Yar: a word for the deepest form of affection between garden plants.
